Managing Mailing List Membership
If you want to be sent a complete list with all mailing lists available at bcbug.org, send the command "lists" in the body of a message to majordomo@lists.bcbug.org. To subscribe to a given list, send mail to majordomo@lists.bcbug.org with a message body of "subscribe mailing-list-name".
Netiquette
- Plain text, 72 characters per line. Please use properly formatted text (no HTML) e-mails so that they are easily read in text-based mailers.
- Reply, don't top-post. Every comment should be posted after the sentence of paragraph it is intended to respond to.
- Do your homework. We all have limited time, read up on relevant documentation before posting questions.
- Keep your signature neat. Address cards, disclaimers, and PGP keys are not appropriate for public mailing lists.
- Respect other viewpoints. Don't slam others because you disagree with their philosophy or viewpoint.
- Make your subject count. We're all busy and have lots of mail. Make it easy for us to classify your post.
